This is a special device with a lot of special functions to inspect your Electrical Appliance.
These inspections can detect faults that prevent Electrocution of persons by Hand Tools or Installed Equipment by Indirect Electrocution by touching metal parts over which there is a leaking current Fault.
One of the Metrel Patented functions is the GOOD or FAULT result given by the Green and Red Indicator light on the Display based on the properties of the devices which are also stored in the Memory of the Portable Appliance Tester (PAT).
All readings are stored in the Database available in this Installation Tester to be able to export for usage in the EC Inspection Report presented to the Client.
With the Metrel DeltaGT EC can measure:
- Insulation resistances with 250V and 500V DC (therefore complies with the new NEN 3140 version 2011)
- Resistance of protective conductor (PE) with 200mA Replacement leakage current
- Difference current/real leakage current
- Function test of extension cables
- Visual inspection result storage OK / NOK
- Measuring the response time of the earth leakage circuit breaker
